Jennifer Hart
For more than forty years Jennifer ran a ballet school in Bellville. She retired as principal of the school seven years ago but is still active as guest teacher and examiner. She holds her Maestro Enrico Cecchetti Diploma, is a Fellow of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and a senior examiner as well as member of the Council of Management of the Cecchetti Society of Southern Africa. Amongst her many pupils who went on to perform and teach professionally are Eduard Greyling and Diane van Schoor, principal of The Royal Ballet School, White Lodge, London.
Tutored by Professor Michael Whiteman and Mrs. Sona Whiteman, Jennifer attained the UNISA Performer’s (piano) and Teacher’s Licentiates of Music as well as the L.R.S.M. and A.R.C.M.
She considers herself very privileged to be part of the FMR team and thoroughly enjoys and looks forward to the preparation and presentation of “Classical Choice” every alternate Wednesday. Apart from listening to music and broadcasting on Fine Music Radio, some of Jennifer’s favourite pastimes are reading, Sudoku, gardening and baby-sitting her three (soon to be four!) grandchildren.
