Lindsay Williams
Lindsay Williams started his career in a ‘boiler room’ in the City of London selling risky derivatives to dentists and widows. This experience, while useful, was soulless, and he then moved to a respectable commodity futures trading company in the West End before moving to Johannesburg in 1988, also in the commodity futures business. After stints with RMB and Greenwich, Lindsay moved into the media in 2000. First he became a prolific freelancer for FHM, then joined 702 Talk Radio as a business broadcaster and editor of the station’s money website. While at 702 Lindsay became an anchor on Summit TV, a position he held for 5 years. After leaving 702, he replaced Alec Hogg as presenter of Classic FM’s business show while still presenting on Summit.
Lindsay now lives in Cape Town and presents the business show; “The Warwick Report” on FMR101.3fm at 6pm-6:30pm, Monday to Friday, as well as a new current affairs show, “Newscape’ on Wednesdays 6:30pm – 7pm, and the Saturday Sports feature at 8:30am.
