To commemorate the 224th anniversary of the Battle of Muizenberg and the 1st British occupation of the Cape the Muizenberg Historical Conservation Society will be firing its 6 pound cannon at 12h00 on Sunday 11 August from the stoep of Het Posthuys, Main Rd Muizenberg followed by a wine-tasting, presided over by wine ambassador Nevenka Ristic, of Steenberg wines many of which are named after ships which took part in the battle, and then followed by a talk by the Chairman, Chris Taylor on “After the 1st British Occupation, what happened and why?” Talk wine-tasting free for members R50 others
