On Monday 01/07/24 at 19.30 – 21.30 at the Athenaeum in Newlands the Cape Horticultural Society will host Geoff Tribe who will talk about the historic Heuningberg and the flora and fauna surrounding that area of the Swartland. Moving from the prehistoric rock art and the abundant grasslands in 1660 which supported thousands of grazing species and Khoisan hunters, through to the present day when, despite enormous changes to the environment, the magnificant colonies of the unique Cape honeybee still remain intact in this area
