Jonathan McPhee conducts the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra in Ravel’s Le tombeau du Couperin and Bizet’s Symphony no 1 in C, as well as Fugal Fantasia for strings, harp and tam, to mark the composer John’Simon’s 80th birthday. Ben Schoeman will be in town to perform the 4th Piano Concerto by Saint Saens. McPhee will give the pre-concert talk at 18:45, free to concertgoers. If you can’t make the concert, remember the dress rehearsal is also open to the public at 11 on the same day. Tickets are on the QUicket platform.
