Dr Jo Hunter Adams is a public health researcher turned farmer. For more than a decade she and her family have, on a one acre plot and diversified systems of growing fruit and vegetables and keeping bees, goats and poultry, slowly built an agroecology hub in the Far South of Cape Town.
Heart and Soil Urban Permaculture Farm is a living example of what is possible on a small city plot and through workshops, courses, a weekly newsletter, affordable seedlings, and quiet persistence, Jo is make growing accessible, one grower at a time .
