Description
Erika Calitz, founder of the legendary Donkey Trails in the Swartberg mountains, will tell the audience how she came to establish these trails as well as recount a few events related to the trails.
Erika hails from Cape Town originally, but was schooled in Germany. She went on to the Army Women’s College, military intelligence, journalism and research consulting. Motherhood took her to the Swartberg to raise her family ‘far from the madding crowd’. Here she encountered fatherless children and soon started a programme to foster meaningfulness among them, leading ultimately to the Donkey Trails
