Description
The UCT Ibuyambo Orchestra presents Fragments of Sarah, an interdisciplinary performance reflecting on the life and legacy of Sarah Baartman through sound, movement, memory and storytelling. Combining sub-Saharan African indigenous instruments with contemporary performance practices, the work creates space for remembrance, dignity and reflection. Through music, gesture and voice, Fragments of Sarah honours history while exploring representation, identity and the power of performance to remember and heal.
